The US Legends Million Race took place this past week at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Overall there were 300 competitiors and only 34 cars made it to the main event. There was a total of 100 laps competing for the $250000 purse. The winner Daniel Hemric was a hometown boy only 19 years old. Doug Stevens took second and Steven Cantrell took third. General Motors has followed its Detroit rivals, Ford Motor Company and Dodge, in cutting off its financial support to it NASCAR teams that operate outside of NASCAR’s premier division the Sprint Cup series.
